PVAMU mourns the loss of student Brayon Molden

As we reach the mid-term of the fall semester, Prairie View A&M University is mourning the loss of student, Mr. Brayon J. Molden, who passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Prairie View, Texas.  Molden, a junior health major from Spring, Texas who was enrolled as a full-time student in the Whitlowe R. Green College of Education.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church (23030 Talbot Drive, Plaquemine, Louisiana 70764). A public viewing will be held Saturday, October 11,2014 from 8:00am – 12:00pm at Hall Davis and Son Funeral Home (58790 Iron Farm Road, Plaquemine, Louisiana 70764).

Those who desire to make a memorial contribution, the family has set up an education account with Chase bank in the name of Carter Andrew Molden, his seven week old son.

 

Student Counseling Services (SCS) is available for students seeking grief counseling.

Student Counseling Services is available:

Monday through Wednesday 8:00a.m. – 7:00p.m.

Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m.  -5:00 p.m.

Saturday 9:00 a.m.-2:00p.m.

 

Students seeking services must do so in-person by visiting SCS at room 226 in the Owens-Franklin Health Center or calling 936-261-3564.
