The PVAMU community is mourning the loss of faculty member Dr. Kamel H. Fotouh, who passed away on Wednesday, July 2.
Fotouh was an associate professor of chemical engineering in the Roy G. Perry College of Engineering where he had been an employee since 1984. He mostly taught courses in the chemical engineering curriculum, which he helped to develop. In addition, the chemical engineering program attained its specialized accreditation by ABET under his leadership.
Friends and fellow staff members remember Fotouh most for his commitment to the students, and dedication to fulfilling the institution’s mission.
Dr. Fotouh, was interred Thursday, July 3, in Katy, Texas where he resided with his family and was active in the community.
