Prairie View A&M University has been selected as one of 15 Historically Black Colleges and Universities to participate in the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities HBCU Innovation and Entrepreneurship Collaborative.
The APLU will bring together the cohort of public and private HBCUs that are committed to participating in a multi-year collaboration that will foster innovation, commercialization and entrepreneurship on their respective campuses.
As one of the selected universities, PVAMU will have the opportunity to participate in a collaborative community seeking to increase innovation and entrepreneurship across disciplines (i.e., Agriculture, Business, Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology, etc.) in order to build an innovation ecosystem among institutions, administrators, faculty and students, the federal government and private industry. It will also be able to access current and future funding opportunities that will be available only to those universities that commit to participate in the collaborative.
PVAMU will join the cohort schools for the HBCU Innovation and Entrepreneurship Collaborative Symposium which will be held March 19-23 in San Jose, CA. The symposium will kick off the initiative.
