Briefing by LAUSD Officials

Top officials of Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), the nation’s second largest district, and other experts on school-based healthcare programs briefed members of Congress on the impact of a new Bush Administration rule that significantly restricts reimbursement programs available for schools through Medicaid. On January 23rd, LAUSD Superintendent and alumnus of PVAMU (1970) David L. Brewer made a presentation that highlighted the federal commitment necessary to fully address the healthcare needs of LAUSD students.
