National History

Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc. was establish at the university of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa on April 4th, 1986 by 18 man who who came to study in the United States from Latin America, Africa & Asia. “Elite” Epsilon Gamma Chapter History

1992 two man came together to start an interest group for a latino based Greek Organization, after many years of trying to accomplish chapter statues in 2006 after so many years of trying the interest group would finally become the “ELITE” Epsilon Gamma Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc. Since the interest group was started this chapter has been involved with not only the campus and with the community as well. having been the first latino based greek organization on an HBCU campus and having a chapter brother as the national president, and having a great graduation ratio in which many brother have achieved great positions like high school band directors, owners of both architecture and constructions firms and assistant registrar of a University.

“To nurture and further a dynamic, value-based environment which utilizes our historically Latino based fraternity as a catalyst to better serve the needs and wants of all people.”
