Full length journal, magazine and newspaper articles can be found in our online article collections.If a book or article cannot be found in PVAMU’s resources, it can usually be borrowed from another library. Fill out the Interlibrary Loan form, and please note that it may take several weeks to receive the item.
Find Books
Many of the books on Literature can be found in the P area of the Library on the third floor, and in the Reference area on the first floor. Search the PVAMU Libraries Online Catalog for specific titles or authors. You’ll also find useful material in:

  • Internet Public Library – Literary Criticism. http://www.ipl.org/div/litcrit/ The IPL Literary Criticism collections contains critical and biographical web sites about authors and their works that can be browsed by author, by title, or by nationality and literary period. The Collection is not inclusive of all the work on the web, nor does it plan to be. The sites are selected with some thought to their overall usefulness.
  • Shakespeare and his Critics. http://shakespearean.org.uk/ A collection of critical essays ranging from 18th and 19th Century criticism of the plays, and descriptions of their performance, to works by Shakespeare.
  • Internet Public Library – Online Literary Criticism Guide.
    http://www.ipl.org/div/litcrit/guide.html This resource is particularly good for finding information on English-language authors, but also includes many authors whose works have been translated into English.
