Christine Holland
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an English minor. I graduated from Heidelberg High School in Heidelberg, Germany in 2009. Reading and writing has always been my passion. My favorite books are Peter Pan, Le Morte d’Arthur and Anne of Green Gables. I also love to write poetry. I have been writing poetry since I learned to write at the age of 7.  After graduation I plan to pursue a Masters and Ph.D. in Communication, and a career in some aspect of the radio industry.  I am a DJ at KPVU, and the general manager of the student run radio station.

Brionna Davis-Reyes
I am a senior Biology major, and I am working towards a career in medicine as a forensic psychiatrist. I was born in Michigan, raised in Indiana, and somehow found myself in good ole’ Texas. I like to laugh and generally surround myself with people who have a healthy sense of humor. I enjoy Greek and Norse mythology, horror novels and movies, and dark fantasy/supernatural “stuff”. I love reading and writing! If English were a man, I’d marry him. I live life day by day, and I hope I can make a difference in the lives of others.

Breigha Walker
I am a member of the Inaugural Class of the Honors Program at Prairie View and am currently in my junior year. Growing up with a passion for change in societal differences, I embody writing as the avenue to achieve such change through critical research.  By majoring in Communications and minoring in Behavioral and Political Science, I desire to contribute to the change in how individuals in society identify with themselves and with others. I plan to further my education by attending graduate school, concentrating on Gender and Identity studies. I enjoy writing poetry as a pass time. My favorite television show is Switched at Birth on ABC Family and my favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

Chassidy Guidry
I am a senior Political Science and English double major. Acquiring a passion for writing and literature at an early age, I am fascinated by the way literature presents themes that coincide with life and personal beliefs. Helping others recognize how powerful writing can be is one of the satisfactions I receive from working in the Writing Center. In the future, my goal is to attend law school and become an attorney. My favorite movies are Love and Basketball and Dream Girls. In my spare time I like to watch CNN and MSNBC.

Ashley Okhuozagbon
I am a Texas native currently in my junior year as a Nursing major. I am also a member of NSCS and proud to be a PV panther. I have a patient yet efficient nature and I am always willing to lend a helping hand. My hobbies include writing, listening to music, and reading.

Kehinde Ogunseye
I am an undergraduate Biology major (Team BIO!) with expectations to graduate May 2015. I enjoy writing for my own personal amusement and see academic writing as an invigorating challenge. But most of all, I enjoy helping people face that challenge and opening up an avenue of creativity through writing. In my spare time I like to watch Bones, NCIS, or Adventure Time and sleep. My most loved books in the world include, 1984 by George Orwell, Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen, any book Tamora Pierce has written, and Black Faces White Masks by Frantz Fanon. My future plans include going to medical school and becoming a globally influenced physician.

Jarrad Hodge
I am a senior Psychology major graduating in Spring 2013. With aspirations of teaching at the collegiate level, I enjoy helping students understand and simplify the facets of writing that they find most discomforting. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, exercising, writing poetry and expressing my thoughts through elaborate free writings. My most enjoyed novels include Revolutionary Suicide by Huey P. Newton, The Autobiography of Malcolm X by Alex Haley, Souls on Ice by Eldridge Cleaver, and Black Faces White Masks by Frantz Fanon. Upon completion of my undergraduate degree, I intend to enter a doctoral program in either Clinical or Counseling psychology.
