      Recently the University has opened several state of the art facilities. Each equipped with modern technology and space to accommodate the University’s growing needs. The School of Architecture housed in a three story, 105,000 square-foot building. The building, named for alumnae Nathaleyne Archie Kennedy, offers unique teaching areas within its central atrium canyon space and galleries.       The Don K. Clark Building, home of the College of Juvenile Justice, Psychology and Texas Crime Prevention Center is located on the far end of the campus and features a psychology clinic, a mock courtroom and an auditorium, as well as administrative offices which support and circulation spaces. (Include Photo) The Electrical Engineering Building designed by Kell Munoz Architects is equipped with state-of –the art equipment and features a virtually exciting back elevation comprised of framed glass. This building accommodates the University’s growing research laboratories and engineering education programs.       PVAMU Athletic Program has ranked as one of the Southwestern Athletic Conference's (SWAC) elite

      Over the past four years, the PVAMU Athletic Program has ranked as one of the Southwestern Athletic Conference’s (SWAC) elite. In 2006-07, Prairie View A&M received the school’s first-ever Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) C.D. Henry Award, symbolic of overall excellence among the SWAC’s male sponsored sports. Overall, the PVAMU Athletics program finished in second place for the Dr. James Frank Commissioner’s Cup Award and third for the Barbara Jacket-Sadie Magee Award. Since the 2006-07 sports year, Prairie View A&M has won SWAC Championships in women’s basketball (2007-2009), men’s cross country (2006), football (2009), men’s indoor track (2007-2008), men’s outdoor track (2008), men’s tennis (2010) and women’s volleyball (2006).
