Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) Health services and Division of Student Affairs will hosts its grand opening of the Hilltop Reserve. This grand opening event takes place, Friday, August 23, 2019, beginning at 10:30am, concluding at 12:00 pm at the Owens Franklin Health Center.
The Hilltop Reserve is an Emergency Resource Center that provides food, clothing, and financial assistance through a food pantry, clothing boutique and resource center. Hilltop Reserve is free for all currently enrolled students. The mission of the Hilltop Reserve is to support the mission of the University by helping students overcome life stressors that prevent the pursuit of educational goals and successful matriculation by providing resources to combat food insecurity, homelessness and poverty.
The Hilltop ReserveMarket is a food pantry that provides non-perishable & perishable food items in partnership with the Houston Food Bank and House of Hope.
The Hilltop Reserve Boutique provides free clothing, hygiene, and household items for student’s everyday needs. Additionally, the Reserve provides financial & community resources to meet other unexpected needs of students.
