Program Educational Objectives

As guided by the Mission and Core Values of Prairie View A&M University, the Program Educational
Objectives of the Electrical Engineering Technology Program are to produce graduates to be successful
and responsible citizens who will:

  1. have successful careers in electrical engineering technology and related multidisciplinary fields
    to become successful leaders thereby fulfilling the special purpose mission of the university
    in serving the diverse ethnic and socioeconomic population in the nation and world;
  2. have adequate foundation of self-guided learning for life to adapt to continuously changing
    technologies through participating in professional training, workshop, and having membership
    in professional societies all directed towards achieving leadership positions in lucrative professions;
  3. have adequate preparations for attending graduate schools for advanced degrees, and
  4. understand the societal and global context of their work and maintain professional ethics and
    the need to safeguard the public, the environment, and the natural resources of the nation.
