The Center for Instructional Innovation and Technology Services (CIITS) provides digital video acquisition/recording of traditional courses, lectures, student presentations, and other special projects on and off the Prairie View A&M University main campus.video_1

All video acquisition is digital and can be transferred to nearly any analog or digital viewing format. CIITS can also assist with high-end audio recordings that can be saved as computer files or standard DVDs.

The CIITS Smart Labs are also perfect for recording interviews and other professional presentations. CIITS provides assistance with incorporating video in the classroom for all delivery methods (traditional face-to-face, online, and hybrid). Note: Support of online and hybrid course projects will be given priority. Please use the form below to submit your request.

Please Note:

  • Please provide as much lead time as possible for your request. Requests should be made at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event/project date.
  • When completing the request form, please be as detailed about your project as possible.
  • Service requests for non-academic projects are subject to departmental review.

Panopto Focus for more information.Prairie View A&M University introduces Panopto Focus, which is referred to as CCast. CCast reproduces in-class presentations with easy audio and video recording. It has the ability to capture PowerPoint presentations and other programs on your screen and run them side-by-side with an audio or video recording. Use in the comfort of your office or at home to record lectures, concept tips, or presentations that can be uploaded and published online, to mobile devices and to eCourses. Zoom is a cloud-based platform for video and audio conferencing, mobile collaboration, and simple online meetings. This page provides some basic information about the use of Basic Zoom serviceZoom at PVAMU. Zoom’s web-based conferencing uses high-quality video and audio and is accessible on MacOS, Windows, iOS and Android mobile devices. Additionally, Zoom can be used with conventional phone lines for audio conferencing. Finally, this online platform can also connect to existing Smart Labs that contain Polycom, Tandberg, LifeSize, and similar devices. Free access is available for PVAMU faculty and staff for the Basic Zoom service.
