Each semester Prairie View A&M University’s performing dance company, Classic Dance Ensemble presents a dance production along with the academic dance technique classes housed in the Health and Kinesiology Department. It is our responsibility to cultivate and promote the performing arts within the academic setting of the classroom and stage. Our Dance Minor Program has experienced growth and produced quality students currently pursuing careers in the field of dance and Broadway. Towards the end of each semester, academic dance technique students will have the chance to portray what they have learned in their classes. This year we have incorporated a few faculty and staff members to share their talents and perform with the students! Classic Dance Ensemble performs throughout the year, on and off campus, and they are delighted to share their passion and love for dance with PVAMU’s students, faculty, staff, administration, friends of dance and the community! Presenting, “Dancing With the Stars: Faculty Edition” which will premiere on April 25, 2019 in the Opal Johnson-Smith Auditorium at 6:00 p.m.
