Welcome to the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences. The College trains students to enter careers in the human sciences, animal, crop and the environmental sciences, and agricultural and resource economics. Faculty members develop educated and productive citizens in these areas and do so in a new academic facility that opened in 2016.
Researchers are increasing the shelf life of milk, protecting fruits against sun rays, removing allergens from peanuts, and developing strategies to enhance watershed functions in a sustainable way. All these activities are geared toward meeting the needs and changing lives of Texans through the Cooperative Extension Program.
The Cooperative Extension Program delivers programs at thirty-five extension offices across Texas directly reaching eight million limited-resource citizens. As a member of The Texas A&M University System, we work in strong partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in program planning and delivery to the citizens of Texas in four areas: (1) Family & Consumer Sciences, (2) Agriculture & Natural Resources, (3) Community & Economic Development and (4) 4-H & Youth Development.
The College invites you to explore our website or visit in person to discover the many ways we serve the public.
