Sri Lanka

Project funded in 2000 to begin developing research collaboration in Sri Lanka in the area of biorenewable materials.

Brazil

Invited to present papers on research related to the industrial utilization of soy protein at the World Soybean Research Conference VII in Foz do Iguassu, Brazil, February 29 – March 05, 2004 and at the Soybean Industrial Uses Conference in Rio De Janeiro April 11-12.

Republic of China

Established cooperative agreement with Zhejiang Economic Trade and Polytechnic Institute on a 3+2 agreement for students after completing their Food Safety diploma, to matriculate to NDSU to complete their Bachelor of Science degree in Food Safety.  The first cohort of students will begin taking online courses in the summer of 2012 come to NDSU to complete their 4-yr degree in the fall of 2013.  Worked to established cooperative agreements with universities in 7 universities in three 4 provinces in the Republic of China to expand the global teaching and outreach efforts of the School of Food Systems.

East Africa

Worked to establish a cooperative agreement with Kenyatta and University of Nairobi in Kenya and Makarere University in Uganda to expand the global teaching and outreach efforts of the Great Plains Institute of Food Safety.

Ecuador

Worked University of  Universidad Tecnica del Norte in Ibarra, Ecuador to establish a cooperative agreement to expand the global teaching and outreach efforts of the Great Plains Institute of Food Safety

Liberia

Worked with the ministry of Education to establish working relationships with 5 Colleges for the purpose of study abroad opportunities, student recruitment and faculty and student exchanges.
