The Outlook on Agriculture (OOA) radio show has entered in its fourth season. In 2016, OOA was recognized by the Association for Communication Excellence as an award-winning production. It has expanded over time from a local listenership to a national audience with weekly broadcasts on Sirius XM HBCU Channel 142.

OOA will transition from a staff office to the state-of-the-art multi-media studio at the new Media Production Broadcast Center (MPBC) located on the 2nd floor of the Ag-Business Multi-Classroom Building. Future plans for the MPBC include a photography studio and post production media room.

Show topics for OOA inform students and community members about new careers and achievements of alumni working in agriculture and the human sciences, current research that is being conducted in the College and no-cost opportunities offered to the communities across the state through the Cooperative Extension Program. Each week OOA conveys interesting facts about healthy living and agriculture and features expert guests from the faculty and staff in the College and across the University campus. Listeners learn about the benefits of medicinal plants, CAHS student organizations and how they can attend workshops on starting a business, healthy living, the effects of climate on water resources and much more.

OOA maintains a high level of student involvement by providing real-world on-the-job training to become more competitive in the job market. Undergraduates produce shows through an informative and engaging platform for all listeners, including students.
