CARC Scientist Publish First Study of its KindCooperative Agricultural Research Center scientists Ali Fares, Ripendra Awal and Haimanote Bayabil recently released a study on how organic matter affects the precision and accuracy of soil water monitoring sensors. Published under the title “Soil Water Content Senor Response to Organic Matter Content under Laboratory Conditions” in the journal Sensors, the study reports findings and presents an alternative approach (a multivariate calibration equation) that accounts for organic matter’s effects on the sensor’s precision and accuracy.
