It’s Rodeo time!!

Mark your calendars for March 1st – 20th for the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR). Visitors experience a broad array of rodeo competitions, school art exhibitions, market auctions, livestock competitions and other events designed to teach responsibility and leadership, support youth scholarships, and improve education for Texans.  With over 2.4 million visitors to the HLSR, this event is important for PVAMU and the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences in particular. Thousands will pass by our exhibit.  This year, Dr. Joice A. Jeffries is spearheading the college's committee tasked with ensuring the University's representation throughout the 20 days of the HLSR.  She and the HLSR Committee will reach out to units to secure materials for Rodeo distribution as well as volunteer support for the CAHS display booth. I ask you to share the treasures of this great land-grant university with the many visitors at the HLSR in 2016.
