Workday Implementation and Communication

September 20, 2017

The Texas A&M University System is replacing various legacy mainframe payroll and human resources systems with one unified system called Workday. Prairie View A&M University will benefit from Workday’s intuitive, web-based applications with self-service and mobile capabilities. Workday is designed to work the way we work today and will help to optimize our processes, enhance our workplace and improve the way we work and collaborate. The system will enable Prairie View’s Community to readily emerge technologies and better serve the needs of our faculty, staff and student employees. Workday will launch in December 2017.

To help you prepare, the University’s Project Team members will continue to provide awareness presentations, inform you of training sessions, learning labs.  The team will collaborate with our campus community to ensure a successful transition. A Workday Help Website has been created as an online resource  to  link news, information and  learning materials together. During the week of June 12th , the training website will be available for employees to view and get a live feel of the functionality of the system.  Employees will have access to Workday via SSO login, there will be a “Workday Help” link on the menu.  Please visit the Workday webpage to learn more about the recent updates and information about what to expect with Workday. We look forward to the upcoming implementation and are excited to create a more nimble, process and data driven organization. Stay engaged, informed and follow along as we create a better Workday.

Additionally, we have created a presentation which will provide a more detailed explanation for our campus community. Upon review and approval from the System Office, we will provide the link to that presentation so that it may be added to the Business Affairs webpage.

Thank you so much for your continued assistance and support – it is greatly appreciated!
