COB Students in NYCDuring the week of Thanksgiving, College of Business Instructor Danny J. Harvey took seven students to New York City. They visited the New York Federal Reserve, Williams Capital Group, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, New York Stock Exchange, Bank of New York Mellon, Goldman Sachs, CastleOak Securities, and the Museum of American Finance.

“Our trip was designed to expose students to opportunities that exist in the financial industry within investment banks,” said Harvey. “Also, it was to establish relationships with these investment firms and the College of Business at Prairie View A&M University.”

COB Dean Munir Quddus, who also joined the group for some of the visits, said, “The opportunity to expose business and finance students to some of the major companies in the New York financial industry is invaluable. This will impact their career decisions and improve the brand of the PVAMU College of Business. I am glad Mr. Harvey took the initiative and is planning to make this an annual event.”

The group topped off their trip by supporting and cheering on the Marching Storm in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. You can read more about their NYC visit here
