TD Ameritrade Institutional NextGen Scholarship and Grant Program
has awarded Danny J. Harvey, a Prairie View A&M University professor of finance, a $25,000 grant for his financial planning program.
TD Ameritrade Institutional NextGen Scholarship and Grant Programs are designed to help promote careers in financial planning and attract top talent to the industry. Grants are awarded to institutions of higher education with a strong commitment to educating future financial professionals. Prairie View A&M University received the award for a university with an emerging financial planning program. Funds will be used during the 2017-2018 academic year to promote financial literacy among students and strengthen the financial planning program.
As a part of the celebration, TD Ameritrade as invited Harvey to travel to New York alongside the dean of the college of business Munir Quddus to participate in the closing bell ceremony of the Nasdaq on July 18, 2017. The ceremony will be live-streamed using the Nasdaq Webcam so that viewers are up-to-date on real-time events.
