This Spring, the College of Business will host its inaugural high school stock trading competition. Open to high school teams in the greater Houston area, each team should consist of three to four 10th to 12th-grade students. This competition is conducted 100% online on PVAMU’s virtual trading platform (pvamutrading.stocktrak.com); a web-based trading simulation program. Each team will have $500,000 virtual dollars to invest in stocks and ETFs from February 5, 2018, to April 13, 2018 (10 weeks).

The registration is free online at pvamutrading.stocktrak.com and ends on January 26, 2018. A faculty advisor (teacher or counselor) per high school is needed as well for teams to compete in the competition. There is a limit of four teams per high school. The top three teams with the highest portfolio returns at market close on April 13, 2018, will receive $1,000, $800 and $500 respectively. Each student on the winning team will receive a certificate and will be invited to the College of Business Spring 2018 Award Ceremony in April where prizes and certificates will be presented.
