Scholarships
Scholarships for the Department of Mathematics are administered by the Office of Financial Aid and awarded accordingly. Applications for these scholarships should be submitting to the Office of Financial Aid according to their application policies. The following are common eligibility criteria among all listed Mathematics scholarships (unless stated otherwise):
- Mathematics major
- Full-time student status
- 3.0 cumulative GPA
Mathematics Scholarship Fund (557022)
Additional Eligibility Criteria and Funding Amount:
- Freshman or sophomore classification
- $500.00 per semester / $1000 per year
A.D. Stewart Scholarship (557380)
Additional Eligibility Criteria and Funding Amount:
- Continuing student
- 2.75 mathematics GPA
- $500.00 per semester / $1000 per year
Frank T. Hawkins Endowment Scholarship (557791)
Additional Eligibility Criteria and Funding Amount:
- Continuing student
- 3.0 mathematics GPA
- Program/organizational participation (e.g. Social/Church/Association)
- Need based or lack of financial resources
- $500.00 per semester / $1000 per year
Removing Barriers to Education Scholarship (557792)
Additional Eligibility Criteria and Funding Amount:
- 3.0 mathematics GPA
- Need based or lack of financial resources
- $1,000.00 per semester / $2,000 per year

- 2.75 mathematics GPA
- enrolled in 15 or more semester credit hours
- Passed MATH 1124 – Calculus I with a grade of “B” or higher

Jacqueline Kennedy Math and Science Scholarship (557331)

- Junior or senior level classification
- 2.5 cumulative GPA
- U.S. citizen
- Active in program/organizational events (e.g. Social/Church/Association)
