The Willie A. Tempton Memorial Student Center is located on the corner of L.W. Minor and O.J. Thomas streets, directly across from the William J. Nicks Building (Baby Dome). The Memorial Student Center is the main focal point for most student services and student social life on the campus of Prairie View A&M University.
Located within the Memorial Student Center Building are the following offices and services….

- Registrar’s Office
- Student Engagement
- Follett Bookstore
- Retail Dining Services
- Sodexo Dining Services
- Convenience Store
- Student Center Operations
- Student Government Offices
- Computer Lab
Also located in the Memorial Student Center is a 980-seat Auditorium (The Opal Johnson-Smith Auditorium), Ballrooms, Conference Room 203, and a Student Lounge.
Normal hours that the Memorial Student Center is open are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM; weekends… Saturday, 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM and Sunday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Summer Time, Winter Break, and Spring Break building hours will vary.
The Memorial Student Center is available for all types of social, cultural, and special activities. Reservations for events are on a first-come, first-serve basis. All space being used by approved student organization and departments for meeting and events must be reserved two weeks in advance of the activity. To reserve a space please email student_center@pvamu.edu.
